An unvented cylinder (e.g. Megaflo) is connected directly to the mains, delivering much stronger hot water pressure to every tap and shower. Unvented systems require a qualified engineer — it’s illegal for unqualified trades to work on them.

Yes — Building Regulations require an annual safety check on unvented hot water storage systems. We inspect the expansion vessel pressure, T&P relief valve, tundish, and immersion (where fitted), and issue the correct Benchmark paperwork.

Tundish discharge usually means the expansion vessel has lost its air charge, the T&P relief valve is faulty, or the cold water combination valve is leaking. It’s a safety-critical fault — call us and we’ll diagnose and repair.
